A new generation of artificial intelligence tools can generate text that sounds more human than ever. What are its advantages and pitfalls?The University of Texas at Dallas, in partnership with The Dallas Morning News, is hosting a panel discussion, “ChatGPT: Fact vs. Fiction” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21 at the ATEC Lecture Hall.The event will be moderated by Adithi Ramakrishnan, science reporting fellow at The Dallas Morning News.Panelists include:Dr. Xinya Du, assistant professor of computer science, Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer ScienceDr. Gopal Gupta, professor of computer science, Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science. Gupta also serves as co-director of UTD's Center for Applied AI and Machine Learning.Dale MacDonald, associate dean of research and creative technologies, School of Arts, Humanities, and TechnologyDr. Jessica Ouyang, assistant professor of computer science, Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer ScienceThe event is free, and everyone is welcome. Please register here.
