Comet Voices Matter: New Initiative Seeks Student Input on Needs

Dear Comets,

We recognize that being happy and successful at UT Dallas requires more than the many great qualities that got you here. Understanding how you meet your basic needs, from food and housing to technology and well-being, is important to us. If a Comet struggles with basic needs, it can be difficult to focus on learning and being fully engaged.

This is why UT Dallas is proud to announce the Your University. Your Voice. Student Survey Initiative. The first of this two-part initiative will focus on Your Needs. This is an opportunity to share your unique story with UT Dallas leadership.

The Your Needs Survey is open to all undergraduate and graduate students and should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Be honest — in addition to being confidential, this is an anonymous survey, which ensures there is no possibility of you being identified. In appreciation for your participation, you may enter a raffle to win one of one hundred $50 gift cards once you complete the survey.

You will have a limited time to complete this survey, so we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Your invitation to participate in this initiative will be sent via email soon. Please check your inbox regularly.

You’re the expert when it comes to what impacts your UT Dallas experience. I am asking for your response to the Your Needs Survey to help shape the future of the UT Dallas student experience. You can learn more about this survey and the overarching initiative on the Your University. Your Voice. website.

In spring 2023, you will have a chance to complete the Your Experience student climate survey.

Thank you,
