Texas families that lost access to free or reduced-price meals due to COVID-19 related absences during 2021-22 may be eligible for a Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT).
Student certified as eligible for free or reduced-price meal for 2021-2022 school year will establish their free and reduced-price meal eligibility for the first 30 days in the 2022-2023 school year, and meet one of the requirements for 2021-2022 P-EBT. However, eligible to receive free or reduced-price meal does not automatically qualify a student for P-EBT.
Do not submit a Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application if the student has been Directly Certified for free or reduced-price meals, or if they are enrolled at a CEP school during the 2021-22 school year.
