U.S. Representative Beth Van Duyne (R-TX-24), who serves as Co-Chair of the Congressional Cambodia Caucus and is a member of the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade, has expressed support for the Trump Administration’s new reciprocal trade agreement with Cambodia.
“With the Cambodia Agreement on Reciprocal Trade, President Trump and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet have opened the door to vastly improved trade opportunities for American businesses, farmers, and tech innovators who have long faced unfair tariff and non-tariff trade barriers,” said Representative Van Duyne.
She added, “Having engaged with counterparts in Cambodia over the past several years, I know how much they value this new agreement and the stronger trade and security partnership it represents with the United States. President Trump continues to demonstrate the immense value of fair and reciprocal trade – advancing prosperity, peace, and global stability, as reflected by the recent signing of the Kuala Lumpur Peace Accords. I sincerely appreciate the efforts of Ambassador Jamieson Greer for his leadership in securing the immediate elimination of all tariffs on U.S. exports and securing unprecedented access to Cambodia’s market.”
Beth Van Duyne has a record of electoral victories in her district. In 2024, she won against Sam Eppler with 60.3% of the vote; in 2022 she defeated Jan McDowell with nearly 60% support; and in 2020 she narrowly beat Candace Valenzuela.
