To Bolster Pilot Training Opportunities, Allred, Chavez-DeRemer, Cohen Introduce Bipartisan Bill to Expand Access to Student Loans
Congressman Colin Allred (D-TX-32), Congressman Steve Cohen (D-TN-09) and Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-OR-05), all members of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, introduced the Flight Education Access Act. The bill increases the limit for individuals taking out student loans to pay for flight training and works to increase diversity within pilot training programs. Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Dan Sullivan (R-AK) are leading the bill in the U.S. Senate.

On April 18, Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32) introduced the Expanded Student Saver’s Tax Credit. Allred’s bill expands access to the Saver’s Credit to current students while in school who are also working part or full time jobs and want to get a head start saving for retirement.
