Later on July 12, 2025, Van Duyne described her visit to Kerr County alongside President Trump and the First Lady. She stated “Yesterday, I was able to visit Kerr County with President Trump and the First Lady to hear directly from folks on the ground about how the federal government can best assist in recovery and rebuilding efforts that will take quite a long time. We also offered our continued prayers”.
