On July 11, 2025, Van Duyne expressed support for a new legislative proposal, stating “The One Big Beautiful Bill is for everyone. We are helping American workers, farmers, seniors, and small businesses. I am excited that this bill will usher in a golden age of business in America.”

In a post dated July 12, 2025, she addressed the speed of the federal response to a recent tragedy. She wrote “We have heard from Governor @GregAbbott_TX directly, the truth is that @POTUS and @Sec_Noem have responded faster than any other administration EVER. Those exploiting this tragedy for politics should be ashamed. Innocent lives were lost, this is no time for lies.”

Later on July 12, 2025, Van Duyne described her visit to Kerr County alongside President Trump and the First Lady. She stated “Yesterday, I was able to visit Kerr County with President Trump and the First Lady to hear directly from folks on the ground about how the federal government can best assist in recovery and rebuilding efforts that will take quite a long time. We also offered our continued prayers”.

Kerr County recently experienced severe flooding that resulted in significant property damage and loss of life.
