Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts highlighting her recent engagements with constituents and local organizations during visits to Washington, D.C.

On March 28, 2026, Van Duyne posted about hosting young visitors from Dallas at the Capitol. She wrote: “One of the highlights of my week was giving a tour to a group of fourth graders visiting from Dallas! It was a blast to show them around the Capitol, from checking out the artwork in the tunnels from the annual art competition, walking around Statuary Hall and the Rotunda,” (March 28, 2026).

The following day, she acknowledged North Texas defense manufacturers. In her March 29 post, Van Duyne stated: “It was awesome to welcome TX-24 residents from Goff Davis Operating Co. in Euless and CTR Aero in Carrollton to Washington this week; they both play a vital role in American defense manufacturing here in North Texas as suppliers for the F-35 program.” (March 29, 2026).

Later on March 29, Van Duyne referenced her tenure as mayor while meeting with officials from Irving. She wrote: “As the former Mayor of Irving, I always enjoy meeting with the City of Irving when they get a chance to visit D.C. – it was great to catch up with Mayor Rick Stopfer, Irving City Manager, Chris Hillman, and Mark Wiggins.” (March 29, 2026).

Beth Van Duyne has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 24th District since replacing Kenny Marchant in 2021 and currently resides in Irving. Born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and now aged 52, she has won several elections including victories over Sam Eppler in 2024 by securing over sixty percent of votes and previous wins against Jan McDowell and Candace Valenzuela.
