Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents North Texas, recently posted several messages on her Twitter account addressing law enforcement appreciation, collaboration with a fellow representative, and the release of a new budget proposal.
On January 9, 2026, Van Duyne expressed gratitude for local police officers: “Thank you to all the brave men and women who serve our communities and keep us safe every day. We are thankful for our law enforcement officers across North Texas for their commitment, service, and sacrifices they make to protect and serve others.”
Later that same day, she commented on working with another member of Congress: “Yay @RepTimBurchett!! Can’t wait to work with you to take apart the waste, fraud, and corruption!!!”
In the evening, Van Duyne referenced her role in releasing a budget plan: “This week, we released our @RepublicanStudy Committee Budget. We developed this balanced budget around a simple principle: Washington must live within its means.”
Van Duyne has served as a U.S. Representative since 2021. In recent elections, she won reelection by notable margins against Sam Eppler in 2024 (60.3% to 39.7%), Jan McDowell in 2022 (59.7% to 40.3%), and Candace Valenzuela in 2020 (48.8% to 47.5%).
