The following day, May 14, she highlighted a meeting with local law enforcement officials in Washington during National Police Week. In her post, she wrote: “Had a wonderful meeting with Officers from @DallasPD who were visiting Washington this Police Week! Beth Van Duyne has served as the congressional representative for Texas’s 24th District since 2021, succeeding Kenny Marchant. She was born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and currently resides in Irving. In recent election cycles, Van Duyne has maintained her seat by defeating Sam Eppler in 2024 with 60.3% of the vote, Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly 60%, and Candace Valenzuela in a close race in 2020.
