Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th congressional district, shared updates this week on her official X account regarding recent events and activities. Her posts covered community engagement in Dallas, commentary on federal government operations, and interactions with students from her alma mater.

On November 5, 2025, Van Duyne highlighted her participation in a Dallas event: “Earlier this week I attended the annual @CouncilForLife Luncheon in Dallas, where thousands came together to honor the mission of empowering women, men and youth to make life-affirming choices.”

The following day, she addressed ongoing concerns about potential travel delays due to government funding issues. In a post dated November 6, 2025, she wrote: “If you experience a travel delay in the next two weeks, be sure to thank a Democrat in Washington. This was absolutely preventable, which is why I joined my @HouseGOP colleagues over a month ago to vote to keep the government open. When will Senate Democrats do their job?”

Later that same day, Van Duyne reflected on a visit from students at Greenhill School: “Eighth graders from my alma mater, Greenhill School, were visiting Washington D.C. this week! These bright students came prepared with thoughtful questions about legislation that I’ve introduced, the government shutdown, how I am working to serve the people of North Texas…”

Van Duyne has represented Texas’s 24th district since first winning election in 2020. She secured re-election in both 2022 and 2024 with significant margins against Democratic challengers Jan McDowell and Sam Eppler respectively.
