Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne of North Texas posted a series of updates on her social media account between December 19 and December 20, 2025, highlighting legislative efforts, constituent engagement, and recognition of the U.S. Space Force anniversary.
On December 19, Van Duyne shared an experience hosting a local guest at the Capitol: “This week I had a very special guest from North Texas, Kylie Daugherty, and her dad Nick. She shadowed me for the day, and got to visit the House floor for votes, tour some fun places in the Capitol including the Old Senate Chamber and Old Supreme Court Chamber. Thank you to https://t.co/dHGL8zuEEI”.
Later that evening, she announced reintroducing legislation focused on child support enforcement: “This week I reintroduced the Ensuring Children Receive Support Act – this bipartisan and common sense bill will strengthen enforcement of the Passport Denial Program. Learn more about it on my website, https://t.co/Ytfp1ah0GH https://t.co/XgWKJRva4z” (December 19).
On December 20, Van Duyne marked a milestone for a military branch: “Happy 6th Birthday @USSpaceForce! Thank you to the Guardians who serve our country and protect our nation’s interests in space. https://t.co/33XnCfwUA4”.
Van Duyne has represented her district since first winning election in 2020 against Candace Valenzuela with just under half of the vote. She secured reelection in subsequent cycles by wider margins—defeating Jan McDowell in 2022 and Sam Eppler in 2024—each time with over 59% of ballots cast.
