Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th congressional district, shared a series of posts on social media on August 29, 2025, covering topics from national leadership to local gas prices and military commemoration.
In her first post on August 29, Van Duyne wrote: “All we needed was a new President!!!”
Later that day, she commented on fuel costs ahead of the holiday weekend: “As we head into Labor Day weekend, we are seeing the lowest gas prices in 5 years! Here are a few examples from across #TX24!”
In another post recognizing the U.S. military, Van Duyne stated: “109 years ago today, the Marine Corps Reserve was established. We honor the nearly 40,000 Marines currently serving in the Reserve and celebrate all those who have served before them. Thank you to these brave men and women for your commitment to our country.”
Van Duyne has held her seat since winning her first election in 2020. She secured reelection in subsequent cycles, defeating Candace Valenzuela in 2020 by a narrow margin and then Jan McDowell in 2022 with a larger share of the vote. In 2024, she won against Sam Eppler with over 60% of the vote.
