Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas and recently secured re-election in 2024, shared a series of posts on her official X account between November 18 and 19, 2025. The posts addressed developments in autonomous vehicle technology, national security concerns regarding drug cartels, and recent political changes.
On November 18, Van Duyne commented on the expansion of Waymo’s autonomous vehicle services into Dallas. She wrote: “Exciting news from @Waymo as they announce they will soon be rolling out in Dallas! https://t.co/zO1LtbsqJG”.
Later that evening, she expressed support for military action against terrorist cartels responsible for American deaths. On November 19, she posted: “I fully support our military taking the fight to terrorist cartels who have killed hundreds of thousands of Americans.
They have been in a war against us, it’s time we repaid their hostile actions. https://t.co/fdoWxdBQvc“.
In another post on November 19 referencing former President Donald Trump’s policies, Van Duyne stated: ” The Trump Effect!
We didn’t need new legislation, all we needed was a new President. https://t.co/cHAl80lh4J”.
Van Duyne has maintained her seat through several election cycles. In the most recent general election held in 2024, she defeated Sam Eppler with approximately 60% of the vote. She also won elections in both 2022 and 2020 against Jan McDowell and Candace Valenzuela respectively.
