Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th congressional district, posted a series of updates on her social media account regarding changes to veterans’ login procedures and legislative action on riot funding.

On September 22, 2025, Van Duyne reminded veterans about upcoming changes to accessing Veterans Affairs services online. She wrote, “REMINDER VETERANS: Login options for https://t.co/Ni2kCerTkA and VA mobile apps are changing! As of September 30, you will NOT be able to login with just a username and password. To keep accessing your benefits and services, you’ll need to sign in using”. In a follow-up post the same day, she added, “Learn more here: https://t.co/FPEv3MfF9j”.

Later that afternoon, Van Duyne addressed law enforcement efforts related to violent riots. She stated on September 22, 2025: “The Trump Administration should have the tools they need to investigate the funding sources behind violent riots in our country. The Stop FUNDERs Act does just that, it equips law enforcement to pursue those financially supporting violent riots, holding funders accountable.”

Van Duyne has held her seat since winning the 2020 general election against Candace Valenzuela. She was re-elected in both 2022 and 2024, defeating Jan McDowell and Sam Eppler respectively. In each contest she secured over half the vote, most recently winning with approximately 60 percent support in the 2024 election.
