Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on her official X (formerly Twitter) account highlighting tax policy, community recognition, and healthcare fraud enforcement.
On April 17, 2026, Van Duyne emphasized recent federal tax relief measures: “The Working Families Tax Cuts are delivering real relief for American families, with Trump Accounts, a more-than-doubled Child Tax Credit, and a family of four with two children earning up to $73,000 have no federal income tax liability whatsoever.” (April 17, 2026)
Later that day, she recognized a local leader in her district: “This week’s #TX24 Hometown Hero is Amy Taylor, a lifelong Richardson resident whose leadership and commitment to service continue to uplift our North Texas community!” (April 17, 2026)
Addressing healthcare oversight efforts on April 17 as well, Van Duyne wrote: “Yesterday, @SecKennedy shared with me that they have already shut down over 500 fraudulent hospices in Los Angeles who were stealing tens of millions of taxpayer dollars – the complete opposite of what we heard just 3 years ago from the HHS Secreatry under Biden…” (April 17, 2026)
Beth Van Duyne has represented Texas’s 24th District since replacing Kenny Marchant in Congress in 2021. She has won multiple elections for this seat—most recently defeating Sam Eppler in the general election held in 2024 by securing over sixty percent of the vote. Previously she prevailed against Jan McDowell in the 2022 general election and Candace Valenzuela in the closely contested race of 2020. Born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and currently residing in Irving at age fifty-two, Van Duyne continues to serve constituents from across North Texas.
