Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, representing Texas’s 24th congressional district, recently highlighted several legislative initiatives and policy outcomes in a series of posts on her social media account.
On February 4, 2026, Van Duyne addressed tax policy changes by stating: “Tax season is here, and @HouseGOP is delivering real relief for working families. The Working Families Tax Cuts increased the standard deduction for a married couple filing jointly to a historic $31,500 – ensuring hardworking Americans keep more of what they earn.”
Continuing her focus on legislative action, Van Duyne posted on February 5, 2026: “We’re cutting red tape and modernizing the organ donation process with the Removing Burdens From Organ Donation Act – streamlining communication between hospitals and organ procurement organizations to save valuable time and lives!”
Later that same day, she commented on border security statistics: “The Trump Effect – all we needed was a new President to enforce our laws!! Mexican border encounters hit their lowest since 1970, when Richard Nixon was President!”
Van Duyne has served as U.S. Representative since first winning election in 2020. She secured reelection in subsequent cycles—defeating Candace Valenzuela in 2020 by less than two percentage points, Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly sixty percent of the vote, and Sam Eppler in 2024 with over sixty percent support.
