Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’ 24th district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates on her official social media account on May 11, 2026.
In a post recognizing student achievement, Van Duyne announced: “@Carrollisd @grapevinefaith Our People’s Choice Winner is 11th grader Darren Clemons from @jesuitdallas with his piece, Camouflage Owl. As the People’s Choice Winner this painting will hang in our Addison District Office. Congratulations Darren!” (May 11, 2026).
Later that day, she marked National Police Week by expressing gratitude to law enforcement officers: “This National Police Week, take a moment to thank the brave men and women in law enforcement who do so much for our North Texas community. We are thankful for your dedication, courage, and commitment to keeping us all safe.” (May 11, 2026).
In another message posted the same evening, Van Duyne wrote: “Texas Freedom Fuel to the rescue, once again! “ (May 11, 2026).
Beth Van Duyne has served as the representative for Texas’s 24th District since replacing Kenny Marchant in 2021. She was born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and currently resides in Irving. In recent elections, Van Duyne secured victories over Sam Eppler in 2024 with approximately 60% of the vote and Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly the same margin.
