Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th congressional district, recently posted a series of messages on her official X account addressing legislative efforts, youth engagement, and immigration policy.
On September 24, 2025, Van Duyne called for support of her proposed legislation in a post that read: “And, @MattWalshBlog, pass my Stop FUNDERs Act so we can give law enforcement more RICO tools to take down the violent, evil networks paying for all this mayhem!!!”
Later that day, she promoted an opportunity for high school students in her district to participate in a leadership program. She wrote: “We are still accepting applications for the Congressional Youth Advisory Summit! This is a leadership opportunity for high school students in #TX24, where students will think critically and use problem-solving skills to assess the role of the federal government and how it” (September 24, 2025).
On September 25, 2025, Van Duyne shared remarks about immigration policy attributed to President Biden. Her post stated: “Absolute truth from @POTUS. ‘Where migrants have violated laws, lodged false asylum claims, or claimed refugee status for illegitimate reasons, they should in many cases be sent home. While we will always have a big heart for places and people that are struggling, the truly'”
Van Duyne has represented Texas’s 24th congressional district since winning election in 2020. In recent electoral contests she defeated Sam Eppler in 2024 with over 60% of the vote and Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly the same margin. Her initial victory came against Candace Valenzuela in a close race during the 2020 general election.
