Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne recently shared updates on her legislative efforts and meetings concerning industry and family welfare through a series of posts on social media.
On January 15, 2026, Van Duyne wrote about her participation in a Congressional Steel Caucus event: “Yesterday, I spoke at the State of Steel hearing hosted by the Congressional Steel Caucus. I highlighted the Leveling the Playing Field 2.0 Act, a bill I introduced with @RepTerriSewell to level the playing field for the American steel industry and their workers.”
The following day, she posted about legislative progress made by the Ways and Means Committee: “This week, the Ways and Means Committee advanced four bills that improve the health, wellbeing, and stability of families and children, including my bipartisan legislation, Ensuring Children Receive Support Act.” This indicates her ongoing focus on bipartisan measures related to family support.
Later on January 16, Van Duyne described a meeting with Texas business representatives: “Great to meet with the Commercials Metals Company to talk about recycling operations in Texas and their economic impact across our state.”
Beth Van Duyne has maintained her congressional seat through several election cycles. In 2024, she defeated Sam Eppler with approximately 60% of the vote. She also won against Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly 60%, after first securing victory over Candace Valenzuela in 2020 in a close race.
