Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne has recently addressed several federal oversight and regulatory issues through a series of posts on her official X account, focusing on government program integrity and healthcare reforms.
On January 31, 2026, Van Duyne highlighted recent actions taken by the Small Business Administration (SBA), stating, “With nearly a quarter of all 8(a) Program participants refusing to turn over basic documentation, @SBAgov has suspended over 1,000 firms from the program. Glad we finally have an administration cracking down on the fraud that occurred under the Biden Administration and taking”. This post reflects ongoing concerns about accountability in federal contracting programs.
Later that day, she commented on changes within organ donation policy: “By cutting red tape, we can help more lifesaving organs reach patients in need. This week I was encouraged to see @CMSGov adopt reforms that follow the approach we laid out in the Removing Burdens From Organ Donation Act.” Her remarks point to recent regulatory adjustments aimed at improving access to organ transplants.
In another post dated January 31, 2026, Van Duyne addressed persistent issues of hospice fraud: “For years, hospice fraud has hurt the very people it is meant to serve. I raised these concerns with then–HHS Secretary Becerra in 2023, yet abuse has continued. In addition to jeopardizing access to care, fraudsters have now stolen BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars – which is why”. She referenced previous communications with former Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra regarding these concerns.
Beth Van Duyne has served as a U.S. Representative since her initial election victory in 2020. She secured re-election in both 2022 and 2024 against Jan McDowell and Sam Eppler respectively, maintaining a majority vote share each time.
