Beth Van Duyne has served as the representative for Texas’s 24th district since winning her first election in 2020. She secured re-election in subsequent cycles, defeating Sam Eppler in 2024 with over 60% of the vote and Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly the same margin. In her initial race in 2020, she narrowly won against Candace Valenzuela by just over one percentage point.
