The following day, she commented on the state of Columbus Circle near Union Station in Washington, D.C., contrasting its condition under President Biden with that under former President Trump. She wrote on May 29, “This is so emblematic of the Biden presidency versus Trump’s.

Later that same day, Van Duyne recognized Officer Richard Weber as her district’s “Hometown Hero.” In her post dated May 29, she stated, “This week’s #TX24 Hometown Hero is Officer Richard Weber! Beth Van Duyne has served as the representative for Texas’s 24th District since replacing Kenny Marchant in 2021. She has won three consecutive general elections: defeating Candace Valenzuela in 2020 with 48.8% of the vote to Valenzuela’s 47.5%, Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly 60% of the vote, and Sam Eppler in 2024 with over 60%. Born in Ithaca, New York, in 1970 and currently residing in Irving at age 52, Van Duyne continues to be an active figure both locally and nationally.
