Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne highlighted community achievements, legislative efforts, and congressional oversight in a series of posts on January 23, 2026.
In her first post, Van Duyne recognized local veterans for their longstanding service: “This week’s Hometown Heroes are the members of Airport Cities VFW Post #10454. Representing Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, and Keller, they recently celebrated 50 years of service since being chartered in 1975.” (January 23, 2026)
Later that day, she announced bipartisan legislative action: “I joined my colleagues @repkevinhern and @RepDonDavis in introducing the American Franchise Act to help ensure the franchise model remains strong, competitive, and fair so that more Americans can achieve their dream of business ownership and continue strengthening their local” (January 23, 2026).
In her final post of the evening, Van Duyne addressed recent congressional activity regarding health insurance: “This week, Ways and Means hosted a hearing with health insurance CEOs, to hold insurers accountable, because Texas families deserve answers, not excuses.” (January 23, 2026).
Beth Van Duyne has represented her district through several election cycles. She secured victories over Sam Eppler in the 2024 general election with approximately 60% of the vote; Jan McDowell in the 2022 general election with nearly the same margin; and Candace Valenzuela in a close race in 2020.
