Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted several updates on her social media account addressing local sports, diplomatic engagement, and federal oversight issues.
On April 18, 2026, Van Duyne extended her support to a local sports team with the message: “Good luck in the Playoffs, @DallasStars!!!”
Later that day, she acknowledged international collaboration at a community event by thanking representatives from New Zealand. She wrote: “A huge thank you to @NZembassyUS and Ambassador Seed for an unforgettable afternoon for families visiting for our Family Fly-In! Ambassador Seed spent over an hour with the families, answering more than a dozen questions from kids, giving out prizes, and making everyone feel” (April 18, 2026).
On April 19, 2026, Van Duyne addressed concerns about state and federal government actions related to health policy oversight. She stated: “Not only were California officials warned, but in 2024, during a @WaysandMeansGOP hearing, I brought this very issue to the then-HHS Secretary @XavierBecerra under the Biden Administration and absolutely nothing was done. I am grateful that we now have @SecKennedy,@DrOzCMS,”
Van Duyne has represented Texas’s 24th District since replacing Kenny Marchant in 2021. She won her most recent election in 2024 against Sam Eppler with approximately 60% of the vote. In previous cycles she defeated Jan McDowell in 2022 and Candace Valenzuela in 2020. Born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and currently residing in Irving, Van Duyne has established herself as a recurring figure in Texas politics.
