Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th congressional district, shared updates on her official X account on August 22, 2025. Her posts covered a local business visit in Fort Worth, national security policy under the Trump Administration, and recent immigration legislation.

On August 22, Van Duyne posted about her visit to a local restaurant: “Had a great visit to a Chipotle in Fort Worth! I toured the kitchen, learned how they prepare fresh ingredients, saw the new technology they use to speed up prep times, and even got a burrito-wrapping lesson!” (posted at 00:10 UTC).

Later that day at 01:54 UTC, she commented on federal efforts regarding public safety in Washington D.C., writing “Thankfully, the Trump Administration has made the safety of our nation’s capital a priority and are seeing immediate results.”

In another post from August 22 at 14:32 UTC, Van Duyne addressed immigration enforcement measures. She stated “The One Big Beautiful Bill funds the training and deployment of tens of thousands of new @ICEgov Agents to apprehend and deport criminal aliens. Sanctuary cities should do themselves a favor and start working with ICE, instead of against them.”

Beth Van Duyne has held her seat since first winning election in 2020. In that year’s general election she narrowly defeated Candace Valenzuela by just over one percentage point. She retained her seat with wider margins in subsequent elections—defeating Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly 60% of the vote and Sam Eppler in 2024 with over 60% support.
