Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives, posted a series of tweets on January 20 and 21, 2026, highlighting her legislative priorities and recent actions in Congress.
On January 20, Van Duyne wrote: “One year of @POTUS back in the White House – over the last year @HouseGOP has been working hand in glove with the administration to deliver real results for the American people. Together we have: Secured the border. Delivered the largest tax cut in American history.”
The following day, she commented on border security efforts in Texas, stating: “The Texas border with Mexico has never been more secure and as we are continuing to deport hundreds of thousands of criminal aliens brought in by Joe Biden’s open border policies, cities and communities throughout Texas are safer for our families and small businesses.”
Later that same day, Van Duyne expressed support for new legislation aimed at addressing fraud: “Glad to be a cosponsor of @GOPMajorityWhip’s SCAM Act to hold fraudsters and criminals accountable and protect the integrity of American citizenship.”
Van Duyne has held her congressional seat since first winning election in 2020. She secured re-election victories against Candace Valenzuela in 2020, Jan McDowell in 2022, and Sam Eppler in 2024.
