Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives, shared updates on her recent engagements and federal law enforcement efforts through a series of posts on social media in early February 2026.
On February 7, Van Duyne posted about meetings with local law enforcement organizations in Washington, D.C., stating, “Always a pleasure to welcome @TMPALegislative and the Texas Fraternal Order of Police to Capitol Hill. We talked about the critical partnership between Texas police and federal law enforcement to protect our communities and enforce our laws.”
Later that day, she highlighted a new Department of Homeland Security initiative by posting, “ICYMI: @DHSgov has launched the Worst of the Worst database, featuring criminal illegal immigrants arrested by our brave @ICEgov officers. These arrests are helping make our country safer by taking murderers, sex offenders, and drug traffickers off our streets.”
Continuing on February 8, Van Duyne referenced specific cases from North Texas connected to this federal effort: “These criminals are from @DHSgov Worst of the Worst, and they were caught right here in North Texas for drug trafficking. Thank you to @ICEgov for taking dangerous individuals off our streets and keeping our communities safe.”
Beth Van Duyne has represented her district since 2021 after narrowly defeating Candace Valenzuela in 2020. She was subsequently re-elected in both 2022 against Jan McDowell and again in 2024 against Sam Eppler, each time winning by significant margins.
