Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th congressional district, recently shared updates from her official Twitter account about local workforce events and the state’s economic leadership.

On August 21, 2025, Van Duyne highlighted a success story from the annual North Texas Job Fair. She wrote, “A full circle moment from the 2025 North Texas Job Fair! Last year, Michael Henderson came searching for a new opportunity and soon landed an HR role with Empower Brokerage. This year, he’s back on the other side, recruiting top talent right where he found his own role.”

Later that day, she referenced comments by Texas Governor Greg Abbott regarding the state’s economic standing. In her post dated August 21, 2025, Van Duyne quoted Abbott: “As Governor @GregAbbott_TX said, ‘the Texas economy doesn’t follow. It leads.’ Y’all Street is real and growing!”

In another tweet posted on August 21, 2025, Van Duyne described her participation in a Congressional Forum Panel alongside Rep. Brandon Gill and Rep. Julie Johnson. The event was hosted by Phil Prazen and the Dallas Regional Chamber. She stated: “Yesterday, I joined Rep. Brandon Gill and Rep. Julie Johnson for a Congressional Forum Panel hosted by Phil Prazen and the Dallas Regional Chamber. We had a great discussion about our different priorities this Congress and the work already underway.”

Van Duyne has held her seat since first winning election in 2020 against Candace Valenzuela in a close race with 48.8% of the vote to Valenzuela’s 47.5%. She was re-elected in subsequent cycles: defeating Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly 60% of the vote and Sam Eppler in 2024 with over 60% support.
