In a post from May 21, Van Duyne wrote, “It was great to speak with members of the Committee on Pipe and Tube Imports ahead of their visit to the Hill today – and a very special shoutout to all of the Texans who made the trip!!  We discussed my bill, which they have been great advocates for, the Leveling the Playing https://t.co/Im8MTA5nFC”.
Later that day, she posted about meeting with Rey Trevino: “Had the opportunity to catch up with fellow North Texan, Rey Trevino while he was visiting D.C.! Addressing health care oversight issues in another post dated May 21, Van Duyne stated: “More than three years ago, I began sounding the alarm on hospice fraud in our country and how lax oversight by the Biden Administration and various states was leading to hundreds of millions of dollars of fraud and theft. Beth Van Duyne has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 24th District since 2021 after replacing Kenny Marchant (source). She has consistently secured re-election victories over Democratic challengers: defeating Sam Eppler in 2024 with 60.3% of votes; Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly 60%; and Candace Valenzuela in a closely contested race in 2020 (source). Born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and currently residing in Irving at age 52, Van Duyne continues her legislative work focusing on both industry issues relevant to Texans and national oversight concerns.
