Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’ 24th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on her legislative efforts and community recognitions through a series of posts on April 9, 2026.

In one post, Van Duyne discussed her recent collaboration with Edward Jones regarding proposed legislation. She wrote on April 9, 2026: “Hosted a roundtable with @EdwardJones to discuss my bill, the GROWTH Act — legislation that empowers Americans to build wealth by simplifying the tax code, removing penalties for reinvesting in the market, and giving roughly 40 million people more freedom to grow their long-term https://t.co/A8g1bjz8AD”.

On National Former POW Recognition Day, Van Duyne honored military personnel who have experienced captivity. In her post dated April 9, 2026, she stated: “Today, on National Former POW Recognition Day, we honor those who endured captivity while serving our country. Their sacrifice is a lasting reminder of the cost of freedom, their resilience and sacrifice will never be forgotten. https://t.co/AvFAxMzIgH”.

Later that day, Van Duyne recognized Specialist Mark Johnson as part of her district’s Congressional Veteran Commendation program. Beth Van Duyne has represented Texas’s 24th District since replacing Kenny Marchant in 2021 and currently resides in Irving after being born in Ithaca, New York in 1970. She has won several general elections for her seat: defeating Candace Valenzuela in 2020 (48.8% to 47.5%), Jan McDowell in 2022 (59.7% to 40.3%), and Sam Eppler in 2024 (60.3% to 39.7%).
