Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th congressional district, shared a series of posts on her social media account this week, highlighting recent legislative developments and constituent recognition.
On November 14, 2025, Van Duyne commented on the resolution of a government shutdown: “This week, the Democrat Shutdown came to an end. Thanks to House and Senate Republicans. I am excited to get back to Washington and continue our work to lower costs and expand job opportunities for American families.”
In another post dated November 15, 2025, she addressed border security efforts: “The American people asked for this. The Republican controlled Congress invested in this. Our borders have never been more secure and we’re taking the fight to the cartels!”
Later that day, Van Duyne recognized a local veteran: “Our second 2025 #TX24 Congressional Veteran Commendation recipient is Sergeant Felix Garcia, United States Army, of Fort Worth. Thank you for your service to our nation and community, Mr. Garcia. We’re honored to extend you this recognition.”
Beth Van Duyne has held her seat since winning the 2020 general election against Candace Valenzuela by a narrow margin. She was subsequently re-elected in both 2022 and 2024 with increased majorities over Jan McDowell and Sam Eppler respectively.
