Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’ 24th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her official X account between May 30 and May 31, 2026. The posts addressed recent legislative efforts, community events honoring service academy appointees, and local manufacturing developments.
On May 30, Van Duyne highlighted the House’s passage of election-related legislation, stating, “Just as @SpeakerJohnson said, we have already done our job in the House, passing the SAVE America Act three times – this is common sense legislation to safeguard U.S. elections.”
Later that day, she shared details about an event for young constituents entering military service academies: “This week we held our Service Academy Send-Off Reception! Each year we celebrate our newest class of Service Academy appointees. Being accepted to a U.S. Service Academy is an honor only a select few earn. I was glad to nominate these bright young men and women to serve our”.
On May 31, Van Duyne discussed North Texas’s role in domestic manufacturing after visiting a local electronics facility: “North Texas is a manufacturing hub in the U.S. – this week I had the chance to visit Foxlink in Fort Worth to learn more about how they have brought electronics manufacturing to America, and how they are able to grow and expand here.”
Van Duyne has represented Texas’s 24th District since 2021 after succeeding Kenny Marchant. She won re-election in both 2022 and 2024 by significant margins over Jan McDowell and Sam Eppler, respectively. Born in Ithaca, New York in 1970, Van Duyne currently resides in Irving.
