Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th congressional district, recently posted a series of updates on her social media account, covering meetings with constituents, crime statistics in Washington, D.C., and the ongoing debate over enhanced Obamacare premium tax credits.
On September 15, 2025, Van Duyne shared her experience meeting local residents and members of the American Academy of Neurology. Later that day, she commented on crime trends in the nation’s capital under current federal leadership. In a post dated September 15, 2025, Van Duyne stated: “Since @POTUS has prioritized the safety of our nation’s capital we have seen annual crime rates fall.

The following morning on September 16, Van Duyne addressed efforts by insurance companies regarding healthcare subsidies. She wrote: “Insurance companies are launching a PR blitz to pressure Congress into extending the enhanced Obamacare premium tax credits. But here’s the truth:
Insurance company profits 230%
32% of claims are denied
Family premiums have 86%
Extending these subsidies means”.
Van Duyne has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 24th district since winning her first election in 2020. She secured reelection victories against Democratic challengers Candace Valenzuela in 2020 (48.8% to 47.5%), Jan McDowell in 2022 (59.7% to 40.3%), and Sam Eppler in 2024 (60.3% to 39.7%).
