Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th congressional district, posted a series of messages on her official X account highlighting local achievements, concerns about fraud, and the state’s population growth.
On January 4, 2026, Van Duyne called attention to community service in North Texas. She encouraged constituents to recognize individuals or organizations making significant contributions by nominating them as hometown heroes. In her post she stated: “North Texas is home to incredible people who go above and beyond to serve others. If you know someone or an organization making a real impact, nominate them to be our next #TX24 Hometown Hero!” (January 4, 2026).
Later that day, Van Duyne addressed concerns regarding financial misconduct involving taxpayer funds. She wrote: “It’s long overdue that this fraud is being exposed. Billions of taxpayer dollars were stolen, and now the truth is finally coming out! I look forward to continuing to work with @HouseGOP and the Trump Administration to uncover every dollar stolen and hold the perpetrators” (January 4, 2026).
On January 5, 2026, Van Duyne commented on Texas’s status as a leading destination for new residents. Citing recent data from a moving company index she said: “Texas takes the top spot as America’s #1 growth state! The U-Haul Growth Index confirms what we already know, common-sense, pro-growth policies work. People are moving to Texas because of the opportunities the Lone Star State has to offer.” (January 5, 2026).
Van Duyne has held her seat since first winning election in 2020 against Candace Valenzuela by a narrow margin. She was re-elected in subsequent cycles—defeating Jan McDowell in 2022 and Sam Eppler in 2024—with increasing margins each time.
