Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’ 24th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on her official Twitter account about meetings with business and legislative leaders as well as her ongoing policy priorities.

On May 24, 2026, Van Duyne wrote about a meeting with AstraZeneca: “Had the chance to meet with AstraZeneca, they gave me an overview of their therapeutic areas of focus, and their presence across the United States, including their recent expansion of a manufacturing site in Coppell this past fall.”

Later that day, she posted about engaging with Todd Buchanan, President of the Greater Texas Capital Corporation: “I enjoyed meeting with Todd Buchanan, President of the Greater Texas Capital Corporation this week. It was great to hear the difference they are making for entrepreneurs in our district and across the Lone Star State. He also had kind words about the strong leadership at the SBA,” (May 24, 2026).

On May 25, 2026, Van Duyne expressed gratitude to Chairman Jason Smith during a Ways and Means Committee markup session: “Thank you to Chairman @RepJasonSmith for the very kind words at our @WaysandMeansGOP Markup!! I will continue to fight to eliminate fraud in government programs to ensure that our tax dollars are being used properly to support Americans.”

Van Duyne has served as a member of Congress since replacing Kenny Marchant in 2021. She has secured multiple election victories since then: defeating Candace Valenzuela in 2020 by a narrow margin; Jan McDowell in 2022; and Sam Eppler in 2024. Born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and currently residing in Irving, Van Duyne continues her legislative work representing constituents from Texas’s 24th District.
