Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th district in the U.S. Congress, posted several updates on June 2, 2026, highlighting legislative efforts against hospice fraud and promoting a summer reading initiative for local students.
On June 2, Van Duyne thanked a colleague for their work combating fraud in hospice care, stating, “Thank you @DrOzCMS for your diligent work to fight hospice fraud and preserve the program for the truly needy!! Later that day, she promoted her office’s summer reading initiative: “Reminder: Beth’s Bookworms, our summer reading program is officially underway! Beth Van Duyne has served as U.S. Representative since 2021 after replacing Kenny Marchant. She was born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and currently resides in Irving. Van Duyne secured her congressional seat by defeating Sam Eppler in 2024 with over 60% of the vote. She also won previous elections against Jan McDowell in 2022 and Candace Valenzuela in 2020.
