Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne shared updates on her recent activities and observations in a series of posts on December 8, 2025. The tweets highlighted her engagement with veterans, participation in national defense discussions, and commentary on current gas prices.
On December 8, Van Duyne wrote about honoring a local veteran: “Captain Larry Wintz, resident of Keller, served in the United States Army from 1968-1972. I was glad to present him with a Vietnam Lapel Pin this year in recognition of his service.”
Later that day, she reflected on her involvement at a major defense event: “I’m grateful for the time at the Reagan National Defense Forum this weekend, where I joined many of my colleagues and leaders across the defense community to discuss what reforms and advances we must make to ensure our nation is protected from emerging threats around the globe.”
In an evening post, Van Duyne commented on national fuel costs: “Gas prices continue to drop across the country! Texas has some of the lowest prices with an average of $2.42 and lowest diesel average in the country at $3.10.”
Beth Van Duyne represents Texas’s 24th congressional district. She has secured her seat through several election cycles, most recently defeating Sam Eppler in 2024 with 60.3% of the vote. In previous elections, she won against Jan McDowell in 2022 and Candace Valenzuela in 2020.
