Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, representing Texas’s 24th congressional district, recently shared updates on social media regarding her meetings and opinions related to national politics, higher education, and local small businesses.
On November 2, 2025, Van Duyne posted a critique of Democratic lawmakers, stating: “Democrats want to fight for the insurance companies instead of the American people.”
Later that day, she described a meeting with Cornell University President Kotlikoff during his visit to Capitol Hill. In her post dated November 2, 2025, Van Duyne wrote: “I had the chance to catch up with @Cornell President Kotlikoff when he was visiting Capitol Hill this week. We discussed the latest happenings on campus and my recent conversation with the class of first-year students at Cornell’s D.C. campus.”
In another post on November 3, 2025, Van Duyne highlighted her engagement with constituents from her district: “It was awesome to catch up with some Texas-24 residents as they stopped by the office during their visit to Washington. They all represent small businesses from North Texas and are graduates visiting with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Voices program.”
Beth Van Duyne has served in Congress since winning her seat in 2020. She secured reelection in subsequent cycles, defeating Sam Eppler in 2024 by a margin of approximately 60% to 40%, Jan McDowell in 2022 by nearly the same percentage, and Candace Valenzuela in a closer race in 2020.
