Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’ 24th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates this week on her engagement with franchise owners, small business policy, and constituents from North Texas.
On April 17, Van Duyne posted about her meeting with local business owners: “Great to see Fuzzys Taco Shop franchisees this week, including one visiting from Grapevine. As the Co-Chair of the Congressional Franchise Caucus, I am working to deliver solutions that help our nation’s franchise small businesses continue to operate through the challenges they” (April 17, 2026).
Later that day, she commented on a hearing of the House Small Business Committee: “At our @HouseSmallBiz Hearing we heard from small business owners talk about the benefits of the Working Families Tax Cuts and how they are delivering real relief and certainty to our nation’s job creators and hardworking Americans.” (April 17, 2026).
On April 18, Van Duyne highlighted an event for families from her district: “This week, I hosted our office’s third annual TX-24 Family Fly-In! Thank you to all of the North Texas families who were able to come visit Washington and participate in this exceptional tour of our nation’s capital city!” (April 18, 2026).
Beth Van Duyne has represented Texas’s 24th District since replacing Kenny Marchant in 2021. She was born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and currently resides in Irving. In recent elections, she won against Sam Eppler in 2024 with over sixty percent of the vote and previously defeated Jan McDowell in 2022 and Candace Valenzuela in 2020.
