Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’ 24th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on her activities and observations related to artificial intelligence, federal worker compensation, and her connection with North Texas through a series of social media posts.
On April 12, 2026, Van Duyne posted about participating in an event focused on the growth of artificial intelligence in Texas. She wrote, “I joined @axios in Dallas this week for an event highlighting Texas’ AI boom from a local, state, and federal lens. We discussed the future of AI in Dallas and the impact on jobs right here at home, in North Texas.”
Two days later, on April 13, 2026, Van Duyne commented on efforts by former President Donald Trump to ensure continued operations at airports during emergency situations. She stated, “We have seen President Trump take extraordinary measures under emergency circumstances to repurpose dollars, so TSA agents and DHS employees get paid to keep our airports running and our borders secure. If you are traveling, make sure you thank your @TSA agents for working so”.
That same day, she highlighted her engagement with constituents during a district work period: “Nothing beats being back home in North Texas! During this district work period, it’s been wonderful to visit with schools, businesses, elected officials, job creators, and so many folks who make North Texas one of the fastest growing regions of our nation! Time spent at home and”.
Van Duyne has represented Texas’s 24th District since 2021 after replacing Kenny Marchant. Born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and currently residing in Irving at age 52, she has won multiple general elections: defeating Candace Valenzuela in 2020 (48.8% to 47.5%), Jan McDowell in 2022 (59.7% to 40.3%), and Sam Eppler in 2024 (60.3% to 39.7%).
