Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, representing Texas’s 24th congressional district, posted a series of messages on her social media account on October 20, 2025, addressing topics ranging from holiday greetings to commentary on political demonstrations and local education initiatives.
In a message celebrating a major festival, Van Duyne wrote on October 20: “Happy Diwali to all celebrating in North Texas and around the world!”
Later that evening, she commented on recent political events: “This weekend’s Democrat Shutdown programming included ‘Hate America’ rallies sponsored by Communists, Marxists, and funded by far-left billionaires who want to see America destroyed from the inside out.” This post referenced demonstrations that took place over the weekend.
Van Duyne also highlighted an educational initiative in her district. On October 20 she stated: “I had a great time meeting some of the amazing #TX24 students who completed Beth’s Bookworms, our summer reading challenge! Every student that completed the challenge got to pick out a book from the Library of Congress Surplus Books Program. One outstanding student in the third”
Beth Van Duyne has represented Texas’s 24th district since winning her first election in 2020. She secured re-election in both 2022 and 2024 with margins exceeding fifty-nine percent each time against Democratic challengers Jan McDowell and Sam Eppler respectively.
