Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents North Texas, recently addressed constituents through a series of posts on social media regarding local weather conditions, healthcare affordability, and defense industry developments.
On January 24, 2026, Van Duyne posted about the impact of winter weather in her district: “As winter weather impacts families across North Texas, I hope everyone is staying warm. Our office has compiled a list of resources to report electricity or gas outages, seek non-emergency help in your city, get weather updates, and find other useful contacts and organizations.”
The following day, she commented on rising healthcare costs: “As we examine healthcare affordability, the harsh reality is clear: health insurance premiums have become unaffordable burdens for families, often surpassing mortgage or rent payments, while insurance companies post massive profits and deny or delay the very care people need.” This statement reflects ongoing national debates over health insurance pricing and accessibility.
Later on January 25, Van Duyne shared details from a meeting with Bell Flight’s new leadership: “It was great to meet with the new President and CEO of @BellFlight, Danny Maldonado, we discussed how the Department of War is speeding up acquisition of future aviation for our warfighters.”
Van Duyne has held her seat since 2020. She secured reelection victories in subsequent cycles—defeating Candace Valenzuela in 2020 by a narrow margin (48.8% to 47.5%), Jan McDowell in 2022 (59.7% to 40.3%), and Sam Eppler in 2024 (60.3% to 39.7%).
