Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents Texas’s 24th congressional district, shared several updates and opinions on her official Twitter account between December 18 and December 19, 2025. The posts included commentary on media bias, recognition of a local student-athlete, and an unspecified message flagged as “ICYMI.”

On December 18, Van Duyne addressed what she perceives as partisan reporting by news outlets. She wrote, “Something I know all too well is that the biased media doesn’t need facts when they already have a predetermined narrative they plan to push to fit their agenda. @SusieWiles is everything the biased liberal media hates – a powerful, strategic, conservative woman who delivers”.

Later that evening on December 19, Van Duyne posted a brief message referencing prior information or news: “ICYMI”. The tweet included a link but no additional context in the text.

On December 19, she highlighted a local high school athlete from her district. Van Duyne stated: “This week’s #TX24 Hometown Hero is Angelo Renda, Southlake Carroll’s all-time passing leader. We can’t wait to watch your journey continue at the University of Pittsburgh!”

Beth Van Duyne has represented Texas’s 24th congressional district since first winning election in 2020. She defeated Candace Valenzuela in that year’s general election with 48.8% of the vote to Valenzuela’s 47.5%. In subsequent elections she maintained her seat by defeating Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly 60% of the vote and Sam Eppler in 2024 with over 60% support.
