Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, a Republican representing Texas, posted a series of statements on her social media account on October 14, 2025, addressing government funding, commemorating an individual named Charlie, and calling for legislative action against Antifa.

In a post at 18:01 UTC, Van Duyne stated, “Republicans have repeatedly voted to keep our government open and ensure our troops and federal workers are paid. Unfortunately, Democrats in the Senate have continuously blocked this effort, further proving they care more about illegal immigrants than hardworking Americans.”

Later that day, at 19:26 UTC, she wrote, “Happy birthday, Charlie. We will continue to celebrate Charlie’s life and honor his legacy.”

At 20:59 UTC, Van Duyne commented on Antifa, writing, “If Antifa was ‘just an idea’ its foot soldiers who are attacking ICE facilities wouldn’t constantly be getting trucks dropping off equipment, food, and other supplies. Take the Antifa terror network down! Pass my Stop FUNDERs Act!”

Beth Van Duyne has served as a U.S. Representative from Texas since 2021. She secured her seat in the 2024 general election by defeating Sam Eppler with 60.3% of the vote. In previous elections, she won against Jan McDowell in 2022 with 59.7% of the vote and against Candace Valenzuela in 2020 with 48.8% of the vote.
