Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who represents North Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives, recently addressed issues related to false military claims and public safety measures concerning illegal tobacco and vape products in a series of posts on X.
On November 13, 2025, Van Duyne highlighted concerns from her constituents about fraudulent military recognition. She stated, “ICYMI: I’ve heard from veterans and their families across North Texas about civilians claiming to have earned military recognition they were never due. More disgracefully, some have even used those false claims to receive government benefits meant for true heroes. I’m working to https://t.co/keYrncHGsR”.
Later that day, she discussed legislative efforts targeting the importation of illegal tobacco and vape products. In her post dated November 13, 2025, Van Duyne wrote, “The House-passed FY26 Agriculture Appropriations bill includes key provisions from my END Act, authorizing the FDA to destroy illegal and dangerous tobacco and vape products coming from foreign countries.Â
This is an important public safety measure to protect Americans, https://t.co/QjyLKgJKno“. She followed up with a link for further information: “Read more here: https://t.co/ffJHbrRnVt”.
Van Duyne has served as a member of Congress since winning her first election in 2020 against Candace Valenzuela by a narrow margin. She subsequently secured re-election in 2022 against Jan McDowell with nearly 60% of the vote and again in 2024 against Sam Eppler with over 60% support.
