Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne has recently used her social media platform to address concerns related to border security, law enforcement safety, and legislative efforts targeting violent networks.

On September 24, 2025, Van Duyne posted: “The Trump Administration is rescuing young girls from criminal illegal aliens. The Biden Administration’s open border policies supported by Democrats got young girls killed: Kayla Hamilton, Jocelyn Nungaray, Laken Riley, and so many others.” In this post, she referenced several individuals by name and attributed their deaths to current immigration policies.

Later the same day, Van Duyne commented on a police press conference in Dallas regarding an incident at an ICE facility. She wrote: “BREAKING: At Dallas police press conference this morning re: the shooting at a Dallas ICE facility, FBI SAIC states rounds near the deceased shooter had “anti ICE messages” written on them. This appears to be yet another deadly act of violence against ICE and law enforcement who” (September 24, 2025).

In a subsequent post that evening addressed to another user, Van Duyne advocated for her proposed legislation: “And @bennyjohnson, pass my Stop FUNDERs Act so we have more RICO tools to bring to bear on these violent, evil networks!!!” (September 24, 2025).

Beth Van Duyne has served as a U.S. Representative after winning consecutive elections in Texas since 2020. She secured victories over Candace Valenzuela in 2020 with 48.8% of the vote compared to Valenzuela’s 47.5%, Jan McDowell in 2022 with nearly 60% of the vote share, and Sam Eppler in 2024 with just over 60% support.
